No on Measure 14-83. Hood River’s $40M pool

Hood River’s local Ballot Measure 14-83 raises $40 million in taxes over the life of the bond to rebuild the Hood River Aquatic Center and similar activities.

Swimming pools are the least of all government priorities and somehow Hood River wishes to make it among the most over-priced.

We oppose the Measure 14-83 property tax increase (.64/$1,000) and hope they come back with a more modest proposal that taxpayers can afford.
