Blazers are rejecting lavish bailout offer

First, the Athletic reported that the Blazers are very far apart on any deal, despite $600 million in pledges.   Now, The Oregonian reports an insider top Blazer official saying that the team leadership rejects almost everything in the current deal.  There is criticism that the Blazers need extraordinary help because they are rated last in corporate sponsors and are the only NBA team without a jersey sponsor (read more).

Even more suspect, is that the Blazer corporate office has withheld key details on how the remodel funds would be spent.  The Blazer owner’s recent visit was marked by how abruptly he left the media meetings.  It feels like at this point that the owners have an eye for the exit or for a super-bailout provision.
