Billboards expose Oregon traffic mess: ‘METRO Loves Traffic’

It is about time someone said something about our traffic crisis.

Billboards created by Cascade Policy Institute and Taxpayer Association of Oregon have sprung up on Interstate 5 and 205 announcing that “METRO loves traffic jams” — repeating a slogan Portlanders have used for three decades.

It is no accident that Portland is rated the 10th worst traffic area in the nation.
