Press Release,

This morning, Monique DeSpain launched her campaign for the Republican nomination for Congressional District 4 to unseat incumbent Val Hoyle next November in a bid to bring about a safer, more prosperous Oregon.

Monique DeSpain is a retired U.S. Air Force Colonel, mother of twin boys, and public policy advocate who resides in Eugene, Oregon. She is a candidate for the Republican nomination for Oregon’s 4th Congressional District. Her campaign website is www.MoniqueForCongress.com, and her announcement features the following launch video:

Monique DeSpain states, “As an outsider and advocate for commonsense public policy, I’ve witnessed how our political leaders have delivered rampant homelessness, unsafe communities, rising prices, and declining living standards. As a retired Air Force Colonel who served our nation for 30 years, and as a mom who raised twin boys in Eugene, I feel compelled to step up and do my part to secure a safer, more prosperous Oregon for the residents of the 4th District – and for our children and grandchildren. I’ve spent years defending crime victims, striving to uphold the rule of law, and fighting for commonsense public policies. I feel called to continue my service in this way. I am running for Congress because I have never been more concerned for the future of my children and yours. I am determined to offer voters a fresh new choice to replace the unaccomplished, scandal-plagued incumbent Congresswoman Val Hoyle,” DeSpain added. “I stand ready to continue serving our great nation by asking the residents of the 4th Congressional District to deploy me to Washington, D.C., to deliver the transparent, accountable, and results-oriented government we need and deserve.”
