Video: 17x trailer thief caught

A suspect has been stealing a dozen big trailers across Washington and Oregon (Salem, Astoria Bend) and forging documents to resell them.

The Clark County Police issued two alerts, “Detectives Brown and Page were able to identify 17 possibly related trailer theft cases that stretched from Woodland, WA, to Salem, OR, and from Astoria, OR, to Bend, OR, totaling at least $181,000 in stolen trailers. In Clark County, the suspect has been arrested and charged with 5 counts of Trafficking Stolen Property in the First Degree, 4 counts of Theft in the First Degree, 2 counts of Burglary in the Second Degree, 1 count of Forgery, and 1 count of Possession of a Stolen Motor Vehicle… Initial estimates indicate that he has been stealing trailers for over a year and selling them…He uses the aliases WebbJJ, Joshua James, and Joshua J. Webb when selling the trailers online. He has been known to forge titles and other paperwork, using these aliases when selling the trailers. The suspect is associated with a lifted white 2011 Dodge Ram full-sized pickup truck with blue lighting under the vehicle and front wheel well. He is also associated with a tan full-sized Chevy/GMC SUV, also lifted with black wheels. These vehicles have been used to steal several trailers.”

They believe he stole more than 17 vehicles.  If this sounds familiar, please contact Clark County police.
