When anarchists protesting violence by police officers took over Seattle’s Capitol Hill in June 2020, Molly Moon Neitzel, founder of Molly Moon’s Homemade Ice Cream nearby, posted a sign declaring itself a gun-free zone and telling police officers not to enter if they’re armed, according to political commentator Brandi Kruse, who decried the hypocrisy, and thepostmillenial.com. Neitzel issued public declarations supporting the Black Lives Matter movement and defunding of police, but three years later, filed a federal lawsuit in U.S. District Court against the City of Seattle for damages and losses during the occupation, contending police didn’t do enough to prevent it while at the same time saying the company doesn’t seek to undermine the Capitol Hill Organized Protest. Then, in May 2025, Neitzel complained about a proposed Seattle crisis center designed to serve people suffering from mental health and substance abuse issues moving into the Capitol Hill neighborhood, saying businesses already are struggling and residents feel unsafe.

There are anti-cop stores in Portland as well.   As reported by independent journalist, Kevin Dahlgren, a local Stumptown coffee shop in Portland uses the advertised code for their bathroom as “1312” which is the much broadcasted symbol of “All Cops are Bastards” (# corresponds to alphabet).  Read more here.

These anti-cop stores in Portland were first spotted way back in 2010.
