SB 1599 was introduced on Thursday, that moves your voice through your vote to repeal Governor Kotek and her Democrat Supermajority’s $4.3 Billion Dollar gas tax from your November Ballot to the May Ballot! They then created a Special Joint Committee to FAST TRACK their bill through the process!

They Want to Slip This Past You

Over 250 thousand Oregonians signed the referendum demanding the vote be held in November, and Governor Kotek and her Democrat Supermajority are Rigging the System!

This is Unacceptable Gamesmanship 

Not only is there historically lower voter turnout in the May primary, but this will make it nearly impossible to gather the necessary signatures to place arguments in favor of repealing Governor Kotek and her Supermajority’s $4.3 Billion Dollar Tax & Fee Scheme in the Voter’s Pamphlet!

SB 1599 – Digest: The Act says the vote on the transportation ballot measure will be in May. (Flesch Readability Score: 77.8). Moves the election date for the parts of chapter 1, Oregon Laws 2025 (special session), referred to the people by Referendum Petition 2026-302, to the primary election held on May 19, 2026. Sets the procedure for the statewide special election on Referendum Petition 2026-302. Declares an emergency, effective on passage.
