ODOT bridge went from $250M to $800M!!!

ODOT’s Abernethy Bridge project along I-205 in Clackamas County just saw costs explode from the original estimate of $250 million to around $800 million.

Here are some other over-budget ODOT projects:

– $1.1 billion over-budget Rose Quarter project
– $500 million over-budget Hood River Bridge
– $200 million over-budget Hwy 20 Eddyville

This comes as ODOT is asking for $4.3 billion in higher taxes — see measure 120 on the May ballot.
