Portland Mayor Keith Wilson made a popular campaign pledge back in 2024 that, if elected, he would eliminate homeless in one year.

Instead, two years later, there is 2,700 more homeless than when the mayor started.

The Mayor help build 1,500 new shelter beds — but they were often suffering from high vacancy rates.  You can build a shelter but you can’t make the homeless live there.

The Taxpayers Association did this cartoon of Gov. Kotek and her wasteful programs.
