Oregon demonizes nation’s #1 most generous man

Taxpayers Association of Oregon Foundation,

 In 2025, NIKE co-founder Phil Knight pledged $2 billion to charity, ranking him as the nation’s #1 most charitable person.

The response form Oregon has been hostile.

This year, the Portland Association of Teachers, Global Labor Justice, and the University of Oregon Student Union called upon both NIKE and Phil Knight to pay a $2 billion dollar tax.   The coalition of wide-eyed money grabbers has started a petition around this cause.

This year, the Portland March No Kings Rally, people waved pre-printed signs that read “No Billionaires” and “Down with Billionaires. We need socialism.”

Phil Knight should be praised and not vilified.  Phil Knight helped the Oregon Ducks football become the staggering success that they are today.  Phil Knight has donated hundreds o fmillions of dollars to help OHSU hospital and to to help rebuild the inner-city in Portland.
