(chart) Entire west is afire with high gas $$

As gas prices rise across the nation, it is the West Coast that is hurt the most, as seen by the AAA chart from 7/26/26.

With the red zone as seen above it represents not just high gas prices but high prices for everything we buy.  This is why Oregon, California and Washington rate the highest cost-of-living states in America.

This is one more reason why the Taxpayers Association of Oregon worked so hard, along with so many others, to defeat Governor Kotek’s $4.3 billion gas tax would have cost you $400 in higher gas,fee and payroll taxes.
