House GOP SuperPAC Reserves Millions in Fall TV Ads Targeting Kurt Schrader

By Reagan Knopp

The Congressional Leadership Fund (CFL) — A SuperPAC aligned with U.S. House Republicans — announced they have reserved $125 million in TV ads for the 2022 cycle. This includes a staggering $3.3 million in Portland TV and streaming markets.

These reservations are holding the place for falls ads that could persuade voters to return Republicans to the Majority in the House, and to defeat Schrader who represents Oregon’s 5th Congressional district. The 5th is Oregon’s most competitive district.

Oregon’s May 17th primary will determine if Schrader can hold off a progressive challenger, and which candidate will win the Republican nod in this crucial district. Jimmy Crumpacker and Lori Chavez-DeRemer are the leading candidates in the GOP primary.
