Gingrich drops out of presidential race

by NW Spotlight

The Hill is reporting that Newt Gingrich is dropping out of the presidential race today. Gingrich did not give his endorsement to Mitt Romney, but he did indicate he felt Mitt Romney was a much better choice than Barack Obama.

Gingrich said “I’m asked sometimes, is Mitt Romney conservative enough. And my answer is simple: ‘Compared to Barack Obama?'”, and Gingrich said the election was not “a choice between Mitt Romney and Ronald Reagan, it’s a choice between Mitt Romney and the most radical leftist president in American history.”

With Gingrich dropping out, only Mitt Romney and Ron Paul remain as Republican presidential candidates.
