You have to pass the gun ban before you think about it

What is wrong with New York?

by NW Spotlight

The bill that NY Gov. Cuomo rushed through in January – at night, in a closed-door session – limited gun magazines to 7 bullets. Small problem with that, Gov. Cuomo has learned: “There is no such thing as a seven-bullet magazine. That doesn’t exist, so you really have no practical option,” Cuomo said.

Huh. Oh well. What? Do you want us to start THINKING before we pass laws? Seriously?

“Cuomo said the state needs to allow the sale of handguns and rifles with 10-shot magazines, but New Yorkers will still be required to keep no more than seven bullets in them.” Oh, ya, no that makes total sense.

Other tidying up of the rushed legislation includes “exempting police and their weapons and allowing Hollywood to continue to film violent movies and TV shows in New York using weapons outlawed under his measure.” Good idea, allowing police to have more than 7 rounds in their magazines. Obviously, no way to have thought of that before they passed the bill.

New York can rest easy knowing that NASA won’t be stealing their beloved governor any time soon – he’s apparently not a rocket scientist – especially about the gun thingies.

New York has also learned a few things from the Stasi – the former East German police. Fox News is reporting “Gov. Andrew Cuomo launched a hotline that allows state residents to report illegal gun owners in exchange for a $500 reward.” This will allow New Yorkers to turn in their neighbors for a cash reward, getting paid with their own tax dollars. How cool is that?
