About 20% small business to close if we go into May

A recent survey from the Federal Reserve shows that 17% of small businesses would have to sell or close down if they went into two month without revenue.

Even more small businesses would have to take out debt, lay off employees or downsize. If across the board scores of small businesses are downsizing or laying off, all at the same time, the sudden and severe drop in commerce would cascade down to other small businesses and perpetuate even more economic decline.

This just proves that Governor Brown must do everything she can to bring a safe and soon re-start to our economy.

Yet, Governor Kate Brown’s press conference on re-opening the economy lacked any clear direction or plan for businesses to re-open.
