City Commissioner Chloe Eudaly has instituted a massive road blocking project in Portland by erecting 80 barrels through-out city streets and close of 100 miles of street as a way to force people to walk and bike and provide them more room during the outbreak.   It appears that “designated delivery zones” will be set-up as the road blocking may impede delivery of goods to homes.

Part of the project is to also slow down traffic.

This comes at a time when Portland freeway road traffic is down by nearly 50%.

This comes to a city where they have over 300 miles of bicycle infrastructure/paths having earned the the most bike friendly in the world.
