Downtown attacker suspect surrenders to police

KPTV reports that downtown attacked suspect, Marquise Lee Love, has turned himself in after a period of communication with police and his lawyer. Love is the man suspected behind the attack on a Portland man who was driving his truck downtown and tried to intervene on the behalf of a crime victim and found himself being surrounded by a mob and people attacking him.

Here are the charges:

Assault II (B felony), Coercion (C felony) and Riot (C felony).

Chief Chuck Lovell stated, “I am pleased the suspect in this case turned himself in and appreciate all of the efforts to facilitate this safe resolution,” said . “Thank you to all of the members of the public who have provided information and tips to our investigators. Your assistance is very much appreciated.”
