Previously we reported that Wallet Hub rated Oregon as the #8th most restrictive state for COVID-19 rules. This is surprising because Oregon has been in the bottom five for COVID-19 deaths adjusted for population.

Now Oregon Governor Kate Brown has extended the COVID-19 State of Emergency until January 2021.   Gov. Kate Brown said “Oregon is not an island. Without safety precautions in place, we could quickly see our case counts spike as well.”

The emergency extension comes one week after she announced the expansion of the state mask mandate to apply to all workplaces, both private and public, all education facilities, both schools and colleges, all outdoor places (farmers markets, parks, etc.) where people may be 6 feet from each other.

These are tough decisions since Oregon has both very high restrictions with pernicious cases increasing.  Please provide us with your comments and thoughts.
