State Representative Raquel Moore-Green announces run for State Senate in District 10

SALEM, Ore. – Today Representative Raquel Moore-Green announced she will be a candidate for State Senator in Senate District 10 which includes Salem, Monmouth, and Independence. She has been serving as State Representative in House District 19 since 2019.

“As State Representative, I have worked hard to be transparent, accessible and thoughtful. I’ve worked to deliver results for Oregonians – and be a valuable advocate in the Capitol,” Moore– Green said, “As a mother and grandmother, I understand the challenges families are facing today with our education system, rising inflation, and increasing anxiety about the future. We need to be assisting our local companies to help them be successful, not overregulating them. I am prepared and ready to work to restore reason in Salem.”

Representative Moore-Green is a long-time small business owner and community leader for over 30 years in Salem and the surrounding area. “This community is special to me. I understand the daily challenges our businesses face. I speak with various business owners regularly and we must do more to help the employers and employees in our proud community.”

Rep. Moore-Green serves as vice-chair on the House Behavioral Health Committee and is a member of the House Health Care, Energy & Natural Resources, and Covid-19 Response Committees and served on the Joint Conduct Committee. She continues to serve on those committees during the interim as well as eight additional task forces and work groups.
