Dr. John Di Paola Announces Candidacy for U.S. Congress (OR-05)

Wilsonville, OR (JANUARY 13, 2022) – Dr. John Di Paola announced, today, his bid for Oregon’s fifth Congressional District. Dr. Di Paola is a Republican who brings decades of expertise as a medical professional and small business owner to the race.  Dr. Di Paola is running for Congress to end the status quo of career politicians.

“Rising crime, homelessness, and spiraling inflation have placed undue burdens on the backs of working families. This must end. The people of Oregon deserve better, and I will fight every day for common-sense solutions that make our country a more prosperous place to live.”

Dr. Di Paola is a retired orthopedic surgeon who spent his career providing specialty care for injured workers. His practice helped thousands of individuals throughout the state with workplace-related injuries.

John and his wife, Lori, raised four children in Lake Oswego and currently reside in Wilsonville. He spends his free time flyfishing and tending to his native gardens.

OR-05 is a new district that includes parts of Multnomah, Clackamas, Marion, Linn, and Deschutes Counties.
