Persecuted Judge, Vance Day, runs for Appeals Court

By Oregon Campaign Watch,

Former Judge, Vance Day is has filed to run against incumbent Darleen Ortega for the Oregon Court of Appeals position 3.   Vance Day, who was appointed by Governor Kitzhaber, was a well-known traditional Constitutionalist who faced backlash from the liberal community. A series of accusations made headlines with the charges falling apart during the start of the trail, (read more Statesman Journal: Why did the case against Marion County Judge Vance Day unravel?).  All the charges were later dropped.

Vance Day is also known as a veterans advocate in Oregon.  He helped Oregon’s own Band of Brother hero, Don Malarkey, conduct a national tour to share his unique story.

Now voters will have a say in this important and contested Appeals Court race position #3.   It is a six year term.
