Multnomah urges masks for work, school for new variant

Multnomah County is requesting, but not mandating, a return to mask for school, work and other indoor activities.

Their reasoning is that the new BA.2 variant is seeing a rise of 350 new cases day.

OPB reports that the new variant is “milder in most cases”.

Philadelphia saw a return to mask wearing recommendations a few weeks ago.

Schools in Maine also saw a return to mask rules.
