Oregon: Nation’s #1 voter turnout, led by GOP

The Oregon Secretary of State reports that Oregon had the single highest voter turn-out in the nation at 61.5%.

We edged past the State of Maine by .05%.

Based on total turnout (as measured by Senate District return) this is how it turned out:

82.8% — Republicans
78.5% — Democrats
69.9% — Independent
61% — Libertarian
61% — Constitution
44.5%
— Non-Affiliated Voters

 

Top 3 turn-out counties

79.4% -Wheeler County
76.% – Benton County
75% – Grant County
