Education Freedom Oregon to host movie night 1/28

Education Freedom for Oregon

Education Freedom for Oregon is bringing School Choice and education solutions to Oregon K-12 families.

To help Oregon families learn about the benefits to students, families and teachers of School Choice, Education Freedom for Oregon is hosting a free, fun, family-friendly event on January 28 in Hillsboro. At the event, we will show the wonderful 2019 School Choice movie, “Miss Virginia.” FREE Food, Raffle Prizes, and Goodie Bags!

Families can come watch this movie to see how it is possible for parents, grandparents, neighbors and other folks to stand up for their children and give them the opportunity and financial means for a great education. The movie shows how ordinary people can do extraordinary things when they work together to give families a choice in where their children receive education.

After the movie there will be a live virtual Q&A with Ms. Virginia herself! Ms. Virginia Walden Ford is a champion of School Choice. She worked tirelessly to bring vouchers to students in Washington DC. Ms. Virginia actually achieved an Act of Congress in 2004 that gave parents the opportunity to choose the best learning environment for their children.
Her message is as strong today as it was back in 2004: Trust parents to do what is right and give them the financial means and opportunity to find schools that fit the unique needs of each child.

The event will be held at the Glenn and Viola Walters Cultural Arts Center, 527 E Main St, Hillsboro, 97123, from 12 PM to 3 PM.
