Bill lets schools give students Narcan (w/o parents)

This is a sign of the times.

So many kids are dying from fentanyl in school, that schools need to have access to the detox drug Narcan to save from dying from a drug overdose.

School staff would need to administer it immediate for it to work.

That means they need a bill to make that happen without parents permission.

Portland is also installing vending machines with Narcan nasal sprays, so people witnessing someone overdosing can easily access the detox drug and apply it immediately before the ambulance arrives which may not happen in time to save the life of the addict.
