Senator Knopp: Bold action needed on semiconductor Bill

By Oregon State Senator & Senate GOP Leader Tim Knopp,

SALEM, Ore. – A 5:00 PM tonight, the Joint Committee on Semiconductors will hold its first hearing on Senate Bill 4, a bipartisan bill to boost Oregon’s semiconductor and advanced manufacturing industry.

“I believe Senate Bill 4 needs to be bolder and provide more support for our job creators,” said Senate Republican Leader Tim Knopp (R-Bend), Co-Vice Chair of the Committee. “Yesterday’s revenue forecast has provided us with sufficient assurance that we have the dollars to invest in semiconductor and advance manufacturing without touching rainy day funds.”
