When enviros kill an Oregon factory … it reappears in China

Oregon’s Columbia Steel is closing as they have cited taxes and environmental rules as the key reasons.

The lost 220 jobs and customers will likely be picked up by Asia which has cheaper labor and lower environmental standards for the very same plant.

One study showed how super-strict carbon laws move manufacturing jobs out of the state while coincidentally see the rise of the same jobs in neighboring states.

 

 

Really bad environmental laws don’t reduce carbon … they just move it around.
