Some Good News from Salem-Keizer

Do you want the good news first or the bad? First, the bad: A teachers union school board candidate won on Tuesday. Cynthia Richardson beat Casity Troutt for Salem-Keizer School District Zone 2.

Here’s the good news: Satya Chandragiri was reelected in Zone 4, beating Kelley Strawn, and Krissy Hudson beat Larry G Scruggs for the Zone 6 seat. That’s two out of three, not bad.

You win some, and you lose some. It’s better to win more than lose more, and Tuesday was a net victory for Salem-Keizer pupils that want to learn how to read and acquire math skills.
