2 biggest primary fights start early … and wild

By Oregon Campaign Watch,

• Oregon Congress #5:  The Democrat Primary in Congressional Seat #5 to challenge Congresswoman Lori Chavez-DeRemer has started off with a bang.   State Rep. Janelle Bynum has announced, METRO President, Lynn Peterson has announced, and even the previous Chavez-DeRemer challenger McLoed-Skinner is hinting.  This is the beginning of a big campaign battle.

• Oregon State House Seat #12.  State Representative Charlie Conrad is facing a Republican challenge effort in his own district mere days after Session ended.  Oregon Right to Life PAC and othars held a press conference today and launched a website campaign, charlieconradyoureout.com. His critics point out that he won his race by only 100 votes.

These are the two most talked about Primary races this summer.

More news to come.
