11 arrested in huge car theft ring bust

Portland’s Stolen Vehicle Operation is having big success in busting car theft operations in Oregon.

Portland partnered with Gresham Police and Port of Portland Police to look for stolen vehicles that were actively being driven.

– 11 individuals were arrested
– 13 stolen vehicles were recovered,
– 6 arrest warrants were serviced
– Officers towed 11 vehicles and seized 2 firearms.

Police are catching car thieves driving stolen cars.

Good things are happening in Portland with this campaign.

The Taxpayers Association of Oregon previously reported,

20 ARRESTED IN CAR THEFT RING
— June 4, 2023

Twenty suspects were taken into custody yesterday in Portland as police report that they have busted a massive car theft ring operation.

Here is what they found:

• 12 Stolen Vehicles
• 3 Illegally Possessed Firearm (one of them stolen)
• 15 Warrants Serviced,
• 7 Vehicles Eluded.

Now we know who is behind, in part, to Portland’s massive car thefts.  Chart below shows where cars have been stolen in Portland.
