3 more health centers close (death by taxes)

Three Adventist Hospital medical clinics plan to close soon in the coastal areas.

This comes after Legacy has been trying to close their East Portland area birthing center, and trying to merge to stay alive.

A Springfield and Bend center have already closed.

Oregon politicians passed a $300 million tax on hospitals and health care businesses a few years ago.  Now, Oregon hospitals coincidentally have been losing $300 million in lost revenue (2022).

In 2023, politicians passed 77 new/higher health care fees totaling $17 million in higher costs.

For years, Oregon has passed several laws driving up labor costs.  Health centers cannot survive in this environment.
