The Bureau of Labor and Industries announced that they will soon stop processing many claims of labor violations such as overtime violations and incorrect compensations. They aim to stop any claims above $52,710 — so the more victimized you are the less likely you may receive help from the State.

This will impact roughly 400 workers.

The Bureau of Labor and Industries says they are under-staffed and over-logged with violations. BOLI is asking for a 36% budget increase to handle all claims. This comes as the entire State Budget has grown over 20% in the last budget cycle and seen record breaking revenue.  This also comes as there are fewer Oregonians than the years prior due to population decline.
