Measure 118 sold as free money

The Oregon Voters Pamphlet has been sent to every voter home in Oregon, and the pro-Measure 118 campaign put out a whopper of a argument in favor of Measure 118.

They said 6x “Don’t leave $1,600 on the table”.

There is no money on the table.  You have to pass the largest tax in Oregon history ($2 billion) with Measure 118 to put the money on the table for you to take.    To get an extra $2 billion you have to wreck the economy, spike grocery prices, soar home prices and create more poverty to put that much money on the table for people to take.

The pro-Measure 118 campaign may think they are super-smart by putting repeated words in the Voter Pamphlet…

… but the Taxpayers Association of Oregon is as super-smart as they.

Finally, as seen above, the pro-Measure 118 campaign say “pay yourself first”.  Such bold words from a measure almost entirely paid for from California billionaires who neither have to pay for it nor pay any price for the damage the measure causes.
