Three important developments on the rising non-citizens found int he voter rolls.

#1 Lawsuit: Judicial Watch has filed a lawsuit aiming to force Oregon to clean up their voter roll.  They cite Oregon among the worst in the nation.  Judicial Watch states, “Judicial Watch announced today it filed a lawsuit on behalf of the Constitution Party of Oregon and two lawfully registered voters of Umatilla County and Marion County, Oregon, against Lavonne Griffin-Valade in her official capacity as Oregon Secretary of State and the State of Oregon, to make “a reasonable effort to remove” the registrations of ineligible registrants from the voter rolls as required by federal law (Judicial Watch, et al. v. The State of Oregon et al. (No. 6:24-cv-01783)). The suit was filed to enforce basic voter list maintenance provisions under Section 8 of the National Voter Registration Act of 1993 (NVRA).The National Voter Registration Act requires states to “conduct a general program that makes a reasonable effort to remove” from the official voter rolls “the names of ineligible voters” who have died or changed residence. The law requires registrations to be cancelled when voters fail to respond to address confirmation notices and then fail to vote in the next two general federal elections.”

#2. Almost resignation: Oregon’s DMV administrator almost resigned over the scandal as her agency registered the non-citizens through DMV’s motor-voter program. Oregonian reports,“Oregon DMV Administrator Amy Joyce was prepared to resign in September after she learned that mistakes within her agency had potentially led to hundreds of non-citizens being registered to vote. Joyce determined at the time that agency leadership was at fault for the errors and went so far as to draft a letter of resignation on Sept. 19 … ”Joyce confirmed to The Oregonian/OregonLive on Tuesday that she never sent the letter and has no plans to resign. However, she did discuss the possibility of stepping down with Oregon Department of Transportation Director Kris Strickler in September, who asked her to remain in her position, she said.”

#3. Other states look at possible illegal voters.
— KBOI CBS 2 reports that in Idaho a few dozen were discovered upon an audit.
— Iowa discovered examples.
— Virginia is investigating 1,600 possible non-citizen voters.
— Ohio indicts 6 non-citizens over voting
— Georgia found 20.

Not every allegation or news story is definitive on the number of non-citizen voters, but the self-auditing is important and helpful.
