Throw the Bums (Progressives) Out

“Well, not Kamala Harris. That’s for damn sure. She is the least qualified person to ever run for President of the United States. Full stop. You Democrats should be ashamed of yourselves for putting her forward when you knew she cannot do the job. You have left us (non-affiliates) without a choice. (Long pause) That’s probably more than you wanted to hear but somebody should.”

This is as close to verbatim as my eighty year old brain can remember of my conversations with Democrat cold-callers and pollsters – four in total – that I had over the past weekend. It is the final two weeks of the 2024 presidential election and both parties are trying their best to get out of the vote and determine if there are any shifts in the polling numbers. As a result they are concentrating on non-affiliated voters in Arizona and I am among their numbers. Judging by their voices I concluded they were all young, enthusiastic and polite.

And while I can only speak for myself, I am betting as they made their way though the non-affiliated voter rolls, they heard variations of the same thoughts with people who are disgusted with the situation in which we find ourselves. Caught between a megalomaniac who is demonstrably competent but a huge pain the derriere and a woman so deficient in competency, intelligence and assiduity that she cannot, after four years in the United States Senate and four years as Vice-president of the United States, speak knowingly about any subject except abortion and even that only in the catch phrases used in campaign ads.

Ms. Harris is not a serious person. She is a handsome woman with great smile and a flirtatious laugh. She is style conscious and has adopted that “head-back-over-the-shoulder-flip-of-the-hair” by those who regularly walk the red carpets. She can engage you in small talk and hold your gaze while looking past you to see if there is someone else more important. Every cliché about attractive, shallow women is present in Ms. Harris. But that is what the Democrat elites have foisted off on the electorate – all without a single primary, without a single constituent vote and all without a press conference or a probing interview. Ms. Harris was a blank slate upon which they thought they could draw the utopia of the far left – all of which was possible until she was asked her first question and she was frozen without an intelligent thought racing through her mind – only talking points, none of which fit.

And all of that lands squarely upon Ms. Harris’ shoulders. She has had a tutored education. She has existed for the past eight years in the highest echelons of the federal government with access to whatever information she needs and yet she has learned nothing. She is lazy- unwilling to do the hard work to learn and analyze the issues. She is narcissistic – careful of her own appearance and blaming others for her own mistakes – which accounts for the chaos in her offices and the high turnover of her staff. And she can be sharp tongued in safe places – note her encounters with President Joe Biden, former Vice-president Michael Pence and a series of faceless witnesses before Senate committees that she used for punching bags. Never to make a point but only to demonstrate that she is “unafraid” – unafraid in a safe environment cocooned in the lenses of a compliant media.

In fact, if her best friend, Disney senior executive Dana Walden, were to make a movie of an aging, attractive Vice-president elevated to the presidency and standing toe-to-toe against America’s enemies it is likely that central casting would send Ms. Harris. But this isn’t a movie; this is real life. America’s enemies have already taken the measure of Ms. Harris and know her to be lazy and incompetent. They know that despite her sharp tongue in a controlled environment she would never use it against them out of fear of what might happen including getting backhanded to the floor. They know that she would equivocate until choices disappear and all that is left is what they demand. And they know that she is incapable of foreseeing the consequences of her acts – real and projected. Ms. Harris is simply one of the most dangerous people that we could possibly put in a position of power backed in law by the strongest military in the world. She is the moral equivalent to giving the keys to your Lamborghini Huracan to a five-year old – death and destruction will follow.

And the blame for this situation falls solely on the shoulders of the Democrats’ progressive elites – former President Barack Obama, former Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and the cast of senior federal office holders who mostly look like “old White women” who have accomplished nothing in life but being elected to public office.  It mirrors their designation of their opponents as “old White men”. Trust me, Ms. Harris couldn’t organize a tea party let alone this coup. She is just the table upon which the elites laid their meal – a meal consisting of all the things that you’ve been told are good but you know to be horrible.

But that’s it. The die is cast and we are left to Mr. Trump and Ms. Harris. I’ll take demonstrable competence over demonstrable incompetence every day of the week. And for those of you who are life long Democrats raised in the spirit of the Kennedys, the blue-collar work ethic and the morality of your Christian faith – demand your party back and throw the rest of those bums out.
