100+ more illegal voters found

A report by the Wallamette Week and the Oregon Department of Motor Vehicles revealed that 118 non-citizens were registered to vote, with 13 confirmed to have cast ballots. This information surfaced after the Oregon DMV stated it had cleaned up the voter rolls and resumed automatic voter registration. Additionally, the new disclosure indicates a significantly higher percentage of illegal votes than what officials had previously identified.

This discovery comes at a challenging time for the Oregon DMV, as the U.S. House of Representatives has just passed the SAVE Act, which will require proof of citizenship to vote in federal elections. In Oregon, Republicans are advocating for the return of in-person voting, arguing that it is the most secure method for casting a ballot. This situation raises important questions about election integrity and whether the federal government will compel Salem to implement proof of citizenship requirements in Oregon elections.
