Oregon Senator Arron Woods dies

On April 21, Salem announced to the public that Oregon State Senator Arron Woods (D-Wilsonville) had passed away on April 19. Concerns about Senator Woods’ health arose when he sought medical attention during a session and was subsequently removed from his committee assignments. The process to fill the vacancy in Oregon Senate District 13 has begun; a press release from the Senate Majority office confirmed that the Secretary of State has been notified of this vacancy. Senator Woods spent his final moments surrounded by his family.
