Rep. Wright: Record revenue, state budget doubles over decade

OREGON PROJECTS RECORD REVENUE AS STATE BUDGET DOUBLES OVER A DECADE
By Oregon State Representative Boomer Wright,

Salem, Ore. — Today, state economists presented the June Economic and Revenue Forecast in the Senate Committee on Finance and Revenue projecting that state government will see a 12% increase in revenue from the previous biennium. House Democrats have blamed tariffs and federal uncertainty despite their reckless spending which has doubled the state budget over a decade.

“We do not have a revenue problem – we are up 12% from the previous biennium. We have a spending problem. Government was not designed to be all things to all people. We should never do for Oregonians what they can do for themselves. Republicans believe in the people, not taxes and more spending,” said Representative Boomer Wright (R-Reedsport).
