Our Democracy Is Under Attack But Not By Trump

For nearly a decade now we have listened to a chorus of Democrats claim that President Donald Trump represented an existential threat to America’s democracy. First it was former President Barack Obama, then Hillary Clinton, then former President Joe Biden, then Dumb and Dumber (Kalamata Harris and Tim Walz). And they weren’t even circumspect about it. They used those words – “existential threat”, “Hitler”, “a would-be dictator.” They proclaimed that if he should become President civil rights would end, we would be at war, that citizens would be deported based on the color of their skin, their ethnicity, or their religious preferences. And each and every accusation was repeated and amplified by the mainstream media. For those who listened to such hysterical commentary Mr. Trump became the devil – the most evil man to walk the Earth since Adolph Hitler.

And yet when he was elected President, and during his term between 2017 and 2021, not a single accusation turned out to be true– in fact, not even be remotely so. And yet, those predictions turned out to be prescient. Democracy was threatened. The government itself, at the behest of Obama, Hillary, Biden, Harris, Walz and the cabal of people who actually ran the government during Biden’s declining cognitive state did exactly what they accused Mr. Trump of being likely to do.

Mr. Obama began the process of an autocratic President remarking that because Congress wouldn’t approve his socialist agenda that he had “a pen and a phone” and was willing to use them both. A flurry of executive orders followed and the Congress’ participation as an “equal” third branch of the government was all but nullified. While Mr. Obama’s actions did not make him the “evil man to walk the Earth” his foreign policy ensured that those who aspired to that title – the ayatollahs of Iran – were well financed by freeing up billions of impounded dollars which Iran – near bankruptcy at the time – promptly used, not to feed its people, but rather to finance the dramatic increase in the size and lethality of groups such as Hamas, Hezbollah, Houtis, and other Middle East and African proxy terrorist armies. Mr. Obama was not the most evil man on Earth but he was financing those who were – all of whom promised to destroy America. Yes, freedom and the democratic process was under attack but it was Obama, not Trump, that was the engineer.

And then Hillary Clinton used the State Department, the Justice Department, the national foreign intelligence organizations and The Democrat National Committee to create a bald faced lie that Mr. Trump was colluding with Russian President Vladimir Putin and the Russian government to manipulate America’s electoral process. And yet it was all smoke and mirrors. It was as if John LeCarre was called back from his death bed to create one final international spy novel. The result was not only to throw the presidential election in 2016 into question but to suborn the subsequent and illegitimate impeachment attempts. Despite millions of taxpayer dollars, countless congressional investigations, insufferable media speculation and “promised” evidence’ from the likes of known liars like Reps. Swalwell, Schiff and Nadler, not a single piece of evidence – with the exception of mindless speculation – was produced linking Mr. Trump to the accusations made. Yes, representative democracy was, and probably still is, under attack. But it was the Democrat elites who were using the various processes of the government to attack democracy itself. The extend to which that is true is only now being discovered and disclosed as Mr. Trump’s appointees gain control of the executive agencies and their files and actions and open them to public scrutiny. Curiously, the members of the mainstream media that were so willing to repeat, amplify and speculate the lies of Obama, Hillary, Biden, Kalamata and Walz are studiously ignoring that which is currently being disclosed. We are becoming accustomed to the term “law-fare” but the corruption of government by the Democrat elites is well beyond the use of government lawyers to attack their opponents.

And finally, we are witnessing the deconstruction of the Biden presidency and the demonstration that Biden, in the midst of his cognitive decline, was not in control of the federal government. Instead their was a cabal of unelected bureaucrats who were exercising the powers of the President – in every aspect from opening the borders to foreign policy to the distribution of federal funds. If you seek to exercise the powers of the President, outside of the Constitutional succession plan, you are, in fact, committing treason. If you are aware of others exercising the powers of the President and choose to not disclose that fact, you are engaged in a conspiracy to commit treason. The penalty for treason includes the death penalty. I have said in the past that I oppose the death penalty just as I oppose abortion. But in this instance I just may have to make an exception. Erect the gallows and line them up.

But the real kicker here is the recent arrest of a Defense Intelligence Agency employee who admitted trying to pass classified intelligence to a foreign government. The Wall Street Journal quoted Nathan Vilas Laatsch:

“’The recent actions of the current administration are extremely disturbing to me,’ Laatsch wrote in a March email. ‘I don’t agree or align with the values of this administration and intend to act to support the values that the United States at one time stood for,’ according to an affidavit in support of a criminal complaint.”

This is where the actions of the Democrat elites have taken many. They have become a law unto themselves. Willing and capable of betraying their own government to further their own aims – even when they conflict with the will of the voters. That verges on anarchy and while it too is illegal, before this week ends you can count on a pack of the Democrat elites and their echo chamber in the mainstream media that will raise this moron to the status of national hero.
