Oregon peak taxes? (backtracks on gas tax, Kicker, income taxes)

Gas tax troubles: Two liberal Oregon Democrat lawmakers (Senator Mark Meek, Representative Paul Evans), came out in opposition to the 2 billion dollar gas tax/car tax transportation package.

Metro tax troubles: A new poll shows voters turning against the once-approved Metro homeless tax, which taxes both income taxes and business taxes to fund homeless services.

Multnomah Income tax troubles: Oregon Governor Tina Kotek jumped into the Multnomah County debate over expanding their County Income tax for preschool, by condemning the tax for being too high and chasing away higher-income Oregonians out of the state.

Kicker raid troubles: Oregon Governor Tina Kotek backed away from her idea of stealing the people’s Kicker Income Tax Refund.

State Capitol tax troubles: As June 20th, only 12 of 14 major Oregon Legislative tax bills have advanced.  These are bills that have had public hearings and lobby interest to pass but have not.
