I just had the best TSA walk-thru since before 2001 (Thanks Trump)

I can’t believe I just walked through the Portland airport security without having to remove anything from my luggage or my clothing. It was a breeze.

First of all, Portland has recently installed new hi-tech scanners (micro-milimeter technology) where it is not necessary for people to remove electronic devices from their luggage anymore.

Then there is Trump’s FFA that announced an end to removing shoes and the practice of putting them on the security scan conveyor belt. TSA agents even said that people are allowed to keep their belts on (although they recommend removing them). Ending the shoe removal removal mandate is a direct result of the administration polling people and asking them what problems they had going through security. People expressed frustration with the shoes.  The agency responded. That is good government.

Even better news. There is new technology being tested on as we speak that is even more effective at detecting weapons and explosives that what we have now.
