OMG! Thieves steal gas from cars with drill

KATU-TV reports that in Portland thieves are drilling holes into cars to steal their gasoline.  They are targeting SUV vehicles where a larger tank of gas can bring a quick $100 of value.  Unfortunately, this becomes extremely expensive for the car owner to repair.

This gas tank theft now joins auto theft as one of Portland’s vehicle problems.  Here is a list of car thefts in Portland by area.

And we cannot forget the catalytic converter theft rings in the Portland area.
