Hell week #2: Kicker, Biz tax, gas tax, Google tax

Here is the list of hearings this week:

SB 1507 moves to floor: $311 million tax moves to Senate floor vote.  This is the plan to disconnect Oregon tax law from three of Trump’s 2025 tax cuts in the Big Beautiful bill.

HB 4125 hearing: Kicker theft bill explained.  The bill changes formula on how Kicker Income Tax Refund is calculated.

SB 1599 hearing: Gas tax swap.  This moves the election of the gas tax referendum from November General Election to May Primary.

SB 1541 hearing: Hits energy companies with massive fines, creates new tax power.

SB 1581 hearing: Free school breakfast.

SB 1549 hearing: Expands political tax credit to $1,000.  This bill expands Oregon Political tax Credit from $100 to $1,000 per person.

SB 1580 hearing: Google tax.  This bill forces social media companies like Google and Facebook to enter into forced agreements or pay a heavy fine if they don’t.
