Lars Larson: The problems over Chavez-DeRemer

The Northwest Nonsense

I’m not at all disappointed to see Lori Chavez Deremer leave the Trump government.

I’m only surprised it didn’t happen sooner.

Chavez wasn’t much to write home about when she served a single term in the Congress. I have friends who backed her but I didn’t like most of what I saw.

Chavez co-sponsored the so-called PRO act to help labor unions force workers into union deals and weaken state “right to work” laws.

That seemed bizarre to me but I think it explains why President Trump chose the pink slipped congresswoman for Labor Secretary.

Trump was throwing the unions a bone.

But Chavez turned into a dumpster fire once she was confirmed at Labor.

She’s under investigation for an alleged affair with a member of her security team.

Some of her taxpayer funded employees claim she assigned them personal tasks.

Drinking on the job is one of the allegations.

And the biggest problem in my book…while she was glad to get time on the radio with me to promote her political run, she then refused to come on and answer questions once in office.

Lori Chavez Deremer claims the allegations against her are false…but if so, wouldn’t you offer an explanation? She ain’t explaining and that’s a problem.

That’s the Rose City Rap. Join me at noon on KXL for 4 hours of Honestly provocative talk. I’m Lars Larson
