The Taxpayers Association of Oregon placed 13 arguments in opposition to the Measure 120 gas tax.  We have received the most praise on our Governor Kotek poem.

In case you missed it, here it is.

“There once was a lady named Kotek
Who greatly taxed my paycheck
She raised my gas taxes and DMV fees
Brought me finally to my knees.

My friends said they can’t take it anymo’
So, they moved to Nevada, Texas and Idaho,
I’d join, but I’ simply all out of luck
Cuz I can’t afford gas for my U-Haul truck.”

— The author, Jason Williams of the Taxpayers Association will be accepting poetry awards, speaking engagements, and book tour possibilities for his outstanding achievements in poetry.
