Over time we noticed is could take weeks for first class mail to go from Oregon to the East Coast.   As a result we began paying over $10 to send priority mail letters for urgent matters.   Now we are witnessing priority mail, being delayed by a week or two.   Mostly recently 15 days.

In 2022 Congress helped bail out the post office with a $50 billion dollar aid package.

It did not seem to help.
