Oregon AG and Kotek placate Hollywood while Oregonians suffer

Oregon Attorney General, Dan Rayfield, has filed a State lawsuit to block the merger of Paramount and Warner Bros. Discovery. Both companies are located in California.

On March 31, 2026, Governor Tina Kotek signed Senate Bill 1510 which expanded the state’s already generous film and video production tax credit to include TV commercials. Oregon has been spending over $20 million tax dollars rewarding Hollywood-style film companies who do not need subsidies.
