Graham Platner scandal not over

Graham Platner – It Shouldn’t Be Over
BY Larry Huss,

Look, this isn’t over—at least it shouldn’t be over. The suspension of Graham Platner’s campaign for the United States Senate may effectively end his candidacy, but it should not end the quest for justice. It doesn’t address the criminal allegations of repeated rapes and/or sexual assaults by this dirtbag.*

I have a wife, a sister, a sister-in-law, a daughter, a daughter-in-law, and four granddaughters. The prospect of rape and/or sexual assault, while statistically rare, is still a clear and present danger. If the allegations against Platner** are true, he needs to be in prison, and only a trial based on those allegations will suffice. Title 17-A, § 8 (subsection 2-A) of the Criminal Code of Maine establishes that charges must be brought within twenty (20) years of the date of the alleged crime(s). Based on news reports, it appears that Platner can still be indicted with regard to almost all of the alleged acts. Soon enough we will know whether Maine Attorney General Aaron Frey (D-ME) will pursue an investigation of Platner—but don’t hold your breath, given that Mr. Frey is a product of the Democratic machine in Maine and has had his own difficulties with an affair in his public office. If he fails to act, the local prosecuting attorney is also empowered to launch his or her own investigation. Time is passing, however—get after it.

A failure to pursue these allegations will confirm, as in the case of Hunter Biden, that if you are a Democrat (and now a Socialist or a Communist), you need not worry about being held accountable for your actions. Although in Platner’s case, he probably won’t be pardoned by a fellow dirtbag like Joe Biden. But even so, justice is not served unless those who enabled Platner to be recruited, financed, supported, and/or endorsed also face political justice.

So let’s build a list of those who publicly supported or endorsed Platner:

• Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT): The godfather of the socialist/communist movement in America and a prime example of how politicians become wealthy without working.
• Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA): The original finger-wagging, white scold lecturing others about women’s rights and minority relations while misappropriating a fictitious tale of being a Native American to get preference in Ivy League colleges.
• Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY): Another defender of women’s rights, but apparently only socialist-leaning women.
• Sen. Ruben Gallego (D-AZ): Another women’s rights advocate who is seemingly attracted to Democrats who are abusive toward women (former Rep. Swalwell [D-CA] and Platner) and who may, in fact, find himself facing disciplinary proceedings for his own conduct toward women.
• Sens. Chris Van Hollen (D-MD), Chris Murphy (D-CT), and Rep. Ro Khanna (D-CA): A trio who, in their fruitless quests to be the next president, will go anywhere, say anything, and support anybody as long as they hate President Donald Trump.
• Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN): Included simply because a list of political misfits and losers would be incomplete without her.
Could this be a list and an AI-created group photo for a “side hustle” for some enterprising person wanting to make some money from the sale of T-shirts, posters, and other signs emblazoned with slogans such as “Did You Support Graham Platner? We Did,” or “We Don’t Mind a Dirtbag as Long as He is a Progressive Dirtbag,” or “We’re Looking for the Next Dirtbag, Will You Volunteer?”

* A dirtbag, according to the Merriam-Webster Dictionary, is “a dirty, unkempt, or contemptible person.” Sen. John Fetterman (D-PA) hung this label on would-be Democrat-Socialist-Communist Graham Platner. Given the seriousness of the accusations, the number of victims involved, and the length of time referenced in these allegations, I think “dirtbag” is a pretty mild sobriquet for Platner.

**Please note that while I usually yield to decorum and refer to politicians (even would-be politicians) initially by their title and thereafter by the title of “Mr.,” “Mrs.,” or “Ms.” as a sign of respect—if not for the person, at least for the office held or sought—I have abandoned those niceties when it comes to Graham Platner because he is not deserving of either the title or the respect that would normally attend. “Dirtbag” is sufficient. He joins Joe Biden in that regard.
