Sec-of-State’s NON-RESPONSE to Legislative oversight subverts democracy

SALEM, Ore. – In a letter emailed today to Secretary of State LaVonne Griffin-Valade, Representative Dwayne Yunker (R-Grants Pass) called out her non-response to legislative oversight and urged her take action to secure Oregon elections integrity.

“Rather than attempting to sweep noncitizen voting under the rug with letters, I urge you instead to refer these matters to the Oregon Department of Justice for investigation,” said Representative Yunker. “In addition, I request you immediately commence a full and complete audit of Oregon’s voter rolls and remove all ineligible voters. You should also prepare to be investigated for violating federal elections law under the National Voter Registration Act of 1993. We must defend our democracy.”
