House GOP reveals new leadership team


OREGON HOUSE REPUBLICANS ANNOUNCE 2025 LEADERSHIP TEAM

SALEM, Ore. – Today, the Oregon House Republicans announced a new leadership team for the 2025 Legislative Session, bringing together seasoned lawmakers committed to providing accountability and prioritizing policies that benefit Oregonians.

 

“The voice of the minority party is crucial to the legislative process and ensures that unheard Oregonians are included in the policies that affect their lives,” said House Republican Leader Christine Drazan (R-Canby), “this House Republican Leadership team includes strong leaders who are committed to serving the best interest of their constituents, holding government accountable, and being a voice for the minority party in our state.”

 

“I am excited to serve alongside Leader Drazan again as Assistant Leader,” said Assistant Leader Rep. Shelly Boshart Davis (R-Albany), “I hear every day that Oregon’s government is not delivering results. As a caucus, we stand ready to fight back against tax increases, and provide certainty for families and stability for businesses to have a future in our state.”

 

Assistant Leader, Rep. Emily McIntire (R-Eagle Point) added, “I am excited to have the opportunity to serve in a leadership capacity on behalf of Oregonians. House Republicans will be a voice for bringing common sense and local control back to our state and communities.”

 

“I am proud to serve on this leadership team and will prioritize being a voice for common sense, and ensure that hardworking Oregonians are heard this upcoming session,” said Assistant Leader, Rep. Mark Owens (R-Crane).

 

“I look forward to serving with my colleagues on this leadership team as I continue my service on the Ways and Means Committee. I will be a voice for Oregonians who demand that their government control costs, ensure accountability, and minimize waste within our state agencies,” concluded Ex-Officio, Rep. Greg Smith (R-Heppner).

 

The full House Republican Leadership team is as follows:

 

  • House Republican Leader: Rep. Christine Drazan (R-Canby)
  • Deputy Leader: Rep. Lucetta Elmer (R-McMinnville)
  • Whip: Rep. Virgle Osborne (R-Roseburg)
  • Assistant Leader: Rep. Shelly Boshart-Davis (R-Albany)
  • Assistant Leader: Rep. Mark Owens (R-Crane)
  • Assistant Leader: Rep. Emily McIntire (R-Eagle Point)
  • Ex-Officio: Rep. Greg Smith (R-Heppner)

 

Representatives Owens, Boshart-Davis, and McIntire have been appointed to the Assistant Leader positions, bringing a wealth of experience and perspectives to the leadership team. Representative Smith will continue to serve in an ex-officio capacity as the Vice-Chair of Ways and Means.
